How much analysis can truly be done on this game when the matchups are incredibly obvious. The Philadelphia offensive line matches up well with the KC front 7. The KC OLine will need help against the Phill front 7. The Eagles' secondary while great, has to really commit to the middle of the field. to stop Travis Kelce and now rookies need to win 1v1 against veteran wide receivers.

I think that the Chiefs will have to pick who they take away between AJ Brown and Devonta Smith. McDuffie will man up against one of them and then the other will likely be doubled, which means Justin Reid has to erase Dallas Goedert, which is easier said than done.

I think this game will be a grind. Kansas City is the God Emperor of the Emporium of Mankind of the rock fight. No one is better at dragging teams into the mud and dictating the terms of engagement. The Chiefs rarely move backwards when it comes to offense and their defense is rarely out of position. They will minimize the amount of touches Saquon gets. The biggest aspect of this game in my opinion is Saquon Barkley. Saquon has always been a home run hitting back. He isn't a keep you schedule back or one that or one that progressively wears out a defense. He hits dingers. That plays very much into KC's favor. They will be able to wear out the Philadelphia defense by possessing the ball the majority of the game while Philly relies on chunk plays to score. Jalen Hurts will need to play the game of his life and read out a Spagnuolo defense, which is asking a lot out of someone who on their best days is a borderline top 10 QB. This game for Philly is on Saquon running more to move the ball forward and Jalen Hurts being someone he has yet to show he can be. That's why my bets and general vibe is on KC.

The Chiefs do not have a better roster than the Eagles. They do have the better QB and Head Coach, and that can go a very long way when it comes to winning these massive games. I think the Chiefs will grind this game out and Philly's defense will keep them down enough for the under to very much be the play. I also think Mahomes will do the thing where the pass rushers get way too far up field while the defense is playing man behind them and Mahomes just has green grass ahead of him a few times this game, leading to a bunch of rushing yards on scrambles and we may even see some more designed runs for him in the red zone.

All of this is why I think the repeat is in play, why my best bets are Chiefs centric, and thanks for making some money with me this NFL season!
