As fun as it is to bet against Purdue, I don't think McNeese has the horses to beat Purdue. The Boilermakers offense is incredibly solid and McNeese isn't great at running their opponents off the 3 point line. I think that a team of sharpshooters can take advantage of that.

Only Providence could contain affiliated coaches of this magnitude. I do think that Cal vs Pitino is a fun narrative, but St. Johns is significantly better than Arkansas and I think they'll take care of business.

Michigan(ML) @ Texas A&M

I have a hard time taking A&M in a game where they'll need to score at least 75 to win. Michigan is good enough to take care of business in this high level 4v5.

As fun as Drake is, and they rock being as good as they are at the slowest pace in the country, JT Toppin + Shooters is a deadly formula for winning games and that's exactly how the Red Raiders Roll. Just a different weight class type of game.

Creighton is a solid team, but you have to be more than solid do beat Auburn. You need to catch them on a bad night and hope you're having a great one. I think Auburn puts it together for a Sweet 16 appearance minimum.

John Tonje is the best player on the floor and I think the Badgers will rip through them. BYU is really good, but I don't think they're a 1 point difference really good.

Gonzaga(ML) Houston

This is my big upset pick of the tournament. Houston is great. I think that they play great college basketball and it gets them through the regular season. Their fatal flaw has and always will be their rigidity in style of play, and an offense that goes flat at the wrong times. This Zags team underperformed this regular season in non-conference play, but they are humming. Not even 1 seeds bludgeon 16 seeds the way Gonzaga bludgeoned Georgia. I think Gonzaga will force Houston into a pace they don't want to play and steal this game.
