I can't quit the air-benders, mostly because I saw even odds on a weekend of where there are weird lines all over the place and Brandon Woodruff has been as consistent as they come for the past 6 seasons. He has no sample size this season as he's only pitched 16.1 innings so far in 2023. His body of work is incredibly impressive as he has a career 3.14 ERA and 3.16 FIP over 629.2 IP in his career. Woodruff also has a career K% of 29.0 to a career walk rate of 6.5%. He strikes guys out, keeps traffic low, and throws hard. Just a great pitcher overall.
This Best Bet is also predicated on the fact that I just don't trust the White Sox at all to do anything consistently. They got to Mr. Burnes and spoiled a potential 3 win streak, but given their season and that they're going with a bullpen day, I really really like the Brew Crew to cover, especially since the Brewers have decided to score runs now.
