Jacksonville Jaguars @ New Orleans Saints UNDER
DK 40.0 -110
FD 39.5 -105
NFL Best Bet Season Record: 22-16

Folks, the Saints do not score. They go under. When they do score other teams also aren't scoring. Where am I going with all this Saints not scoring the ball due to their incredibly vanilla offense led by Pete Carmichael and a rapidly regressing Derek Carr? It's that Jacksonville has a damn good defense in 2023, and that makes for a great Best Bet.
While Trevor Lawrence is leading a good but bot great offense, the defense is a top 10 unit. Josh Allen is having the best season of his career and Travon Walker is slowly but surely breaking out and due for a monster game. You also have a monster at each level at this defense. Andre Cisco is having a stellar year at Free Safety. He already has 3 interceptions on the season and is a force in the run game when he needs to be. Just a solid player.
The star of the show on defense is Foye Oluokun. Oluokun is a play finisher. He averages a little more than 8 solo tackles a game and flies to the ball for gang tackling about 3 times a game. He's also fantastic in coverage and can play that rat in the middle of a zone, along with being able to matchup with a TE when needed. Just an incredibly solid Mike backer for today's NFL.
All of this defensive praise feels needed for the Jags, since all the shine tends to go towards Trevor and the offense, and rightfully so, he's incredible. He's also facing his stiffest challenge yet in what's been a Super Bowl caliber defense for about 5 years now in the New Orleans Saints. Dennis Allen can cook on that side of the ball and they have the monsters to make it brutal for any QB.
Carl Granderson is a breakout star opposite Cam Jordan and that's allowing Tanoh Kpassagnon to erupt onto the scene in year 7 and potentially become a pro bowl interior lineman. This front also has the luxury of Demario Davis being his usual All-Pro self behind them, and this all works in concert with a secondary that wants to beat you up. This defense is mean and will be able to stymie better offenses than what Jacksonville is working with.
So all in all, we have what should be some sicko football on Thursday Night, and that's just how I like it.
