2024 Preview
The Bears drafted their best quarterback in franchise history back in April. It's not an exaggeration either. Caleb Williams is already the single most talented QB to ever put on a Bears' uniform. The team being not cartoonishly bad allowed for him to walk into a decent situation. The offensive line is decent. The running backls are fine, especially with Swift sharing the backfield with Khalil Herbert. Gerakld Evereet and Cole Kmetr are good pass catchers out of the TE spot as well. What will truly make Williams life easy in the NFL is that the Bears are trotting out DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, and Rome Odunze as their top 3 receivers. Simply outstanding.
The defense is still a work in progress. Jaylon Johnson and Montez Sweat are tow good foundations. The defense still needs another draft to truly get out of bottom 10-12 range. Sweat and Johnson are good enough to make plays that contribute to winning and having a much better offense will allow them to rest. Should be a decent at times unit.
OVER OR UNDER
Over. Last place schedule with what should be a top 10 offense should get the bears in wildcard contention.

2024 Preview
The VIkings rebuild has just started and they face off field and on field tragedy. The death of Khyree Jackson was senseless and horrible. Then the Vikings follow up that off field tragedy with an on field tragedy where JJ McCarthy needed season ending surgery after one pre-season game. I do believe Kevin O'Connell is a good enough coach and person top effectively lead the team through what already feels like a lost year, but the issue was this was an accepted step back year to begin with, and it could end up worse than that.
Sam Darnold is not actually horrible at QB. I think he's inconsistent at best but has shown that he can sporadically elevate teams to wins. KOC is the best coach he's ever had and maybe he can harness that talent and Darnold start his Geno Smith arc. The offensive line running it back from last year which means a strong unit is leading the way. Justin Jefferson is the best receiver in the NFL and him drawing double coverage should allow Jordan Addison and Josh Nailor to play well. TJ Hockensen is coming back in the middle of the season as well ,and he's very consistent. It all hinges on Sam Darnold, which in all likelihood will lead to 6-11
The Defense went through an insane amount of churn but has ended up better for it. Brian Flores attracted swiss army knife Andrew van Ginkel who has been simply outstanding for the Dolphins these past few seasons. Flores unleashed van Ginkel back in 2020 and he's nevbber looked back. Jonathan Greenard and Dallas Turner will be screaming off the edge while Blake Cashman and Ivan Pace play like heat seeking missiles. the secondary isn't nearly as good as the front, but Stephon Gilmore is a pro's pro who's had a history of playing well in the man based schemes Flores loves to run. Shaq Griffin, Harrison Smith, and Andrew Bynum are all fine, but are capable of getting burnt. I think this defense is a direct step up from last year's unit, and that will keep the Vikings frisky in what otherwise is a lost season.
Over or Under
I was not particularly high on the Vikings heading into the season because of potential poor QB play, and I'm still there. Under

2024 Preview
For a team that won a playoff game, they'll be going through quite a bit of roster churn. The Packers were one of the youngest teams in the NFL and somehow feel even younger with the departures of some keys guys of the Aaron Rodgers era. The good news ins Jordan Love is very very good. He seems like someone who can elevate the team around him, which is a good thing since his receivers are already very good. Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Jayden Reed are a fine group of young, twitchy pass catchers that Love can elevate. Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft are two good young TE's that should be getting better. The offensive line is concerning. Zach Tom is very good at RT but the rest of the line is young and unproven. The running backs aren't going to be helping him out either. Josh Jacobs and AJ Dillon plod forward for 4 yards a carry and need the line to create the space for them. If the line coalesces there's zero worry top be had.
The defense is another story entirely. Rashan Gary, Kenny Clark, Preston Smith, and Jaire Alexander are all good to great. The issue is that no one else on the roster aside from freshly signed Xavier McKinney has any sort of pedigree. The linebackers will allow chunk run plays and Keisean Nixon, Erick Stokes and Javon Bullard need to be positive impact players. Otherwise there's another team in this division that's going to bully them
Over or Under
10-7 feels right for the packers, maybe 11-6. So over

2024 Preview
The Lions are great. They're returning the majority of the offense and even improved at RG. The offense is going to continue mauling teams. Jared Goff is goign to continue balling out, especially since 14 of their 17 games are going to be indoors. Playing that many games indoors will mean a clean operation for what was already a top 3 offense in the NFL. The only question is if that level of play will play will be complimented by an improved defense.
The Lions top 3 offense from a year ago will be complimented by an improved defense. DJ Reader is joining Alim McNeill and Aidan Hutchinson on the defensive line. They improved the secondary by signing Amik Robertson and Carlton Davis. Brian Branch has a chance to become a pro bowl level strong safety.Terrion Arnold is a ballhawk and is joining an experienced secondary. Jack Campbell will likely get better in year and Alex Anzalone is a stud. The defense just needs to be top 16 and it will be a massive improvement that makes the offense even better.
OVER OR UNDER
Over. I think the Lions end up the 1 seed in the NFC
