2024 Preview

The Bengals are reloaded, healthy, and have a last place schedule. Their free agency and draft period were fantastic. Trent Brown and Amarius Mims are here to reinforce the offensive line. Zack Moss, Jermaine Burton, Erick All, Tanner McLachlan, and Mike Gesicki are reinforcing the offense. Most importantly of all, Joe Burrow is back. Without him they still finished 9-8. With Burrow healthy we'll se the Bengal threaten the division and be in contention for the Super Bowl.

The defense is also reinforced. Despite losing Chidobe Awuzie and DJ Reader, they should still be a formidable unit with the additions of Vonn Bell, Geno Stone, Sheldon Rankins, Kris Jenkins, and McKinnley Jackson. Germaine Pratt and Logan Wilson are still holding down the linebacking group. Trey Hendrickson is still screaming off the edge. Most importantly of all, Lou Anarumo is still coaching the defense.

OVER OR UNDER

Over. 12 wins easy if they have 17 games of Burrow

2024 Preview

Well, if there was ever a year for the Steelers to finally lose 9 games, it's this one. Even with the improevemnt at QB, losig Dianotae Johnson and hoping Roman Wilson or Vann Jefferson will just become him is a bit much. Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are both better than Kenny Pickett, but both are reasons why the Broncos and Bears lost some games in 2023. They are not roster elevators. Their front office are football guys after my own heart by using 3 of their first 5 on great offensive lineman, but good protection isn't going to fix Justin Fields holding on to the ball too long. with Fautanu, Frazier, and McCormick joining the offensive line, it won't matter as much if Dan Moore plays ahead of Fautanu and Broderick Jones doesn't improve. George Pickens is good. The issue is only Pat Freiermuth is a viable pass catcher in that offense. Jaylen Warren is very good and Najee Harris is a decent change of pace back. The offense just has so much working against it, especially schematically. there's no real rhyme or reason, and it's very reliant on getting bailed out by high end talent.

The Defense will be good. AS long as the defensive line features Alex Highsmith, Cam Heyward, and TJ Watt, they'll have a puncher's chance in a game. The additions of Payton Wilson, Patrick Queen, and Deshon Elliot are strict upgrades. Joey Porter Jr and Donte Jackson are serviceable corners. The issue will be slot corner, but if they can figure that out they'll be more than fine.

OVER OR UNDER Under. The offense has a chance to be the worst in the NFL. You need to score points to win.

Player Prop

TJ Watt DPOY is at +850. Grab it

2024 Preview

The Browns are a weird team. Bootleg Football dubbed them a Ferrari with Square Wheels and the owner of said Ferrari is stubbornly refusing to use anything but square wheels. The offensive line group is good. Amari Cooper is QB proof. Jerry Jeudy has never had a QB, he still doesn't but he's talented. There's no Nick Chubb eitehr as he's recovering from injury. DeShaun Watson was awful whe nhe was playing. Like Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe level awful, he just had absurd talent around him to catch the ball behind the line of scrimmage and do something with it. It's also bizarre that they fired Alex van Pelt, and OC in line with Kevin Stefanski philosophically to bring in Ken Dorsey who was quite bad as OC with the Bills while running an Earhardt-Perkins/Spread style scheme. Maybe Watson prefers that style and the Browns are committed to him barring swallowing the poison pill that is the dead money on his deal, but until they do there's no reason to think Watson will be any good and that the Browns will go anywhere.

The defense finally showed cracks in the armor. Myles Garrett is amazing, but he was a one man army last year. Denzel Ward, Martin Emerson Jr., and Greg Newsome II have to start playing better on the outside or teams that can operate underneath will kill them and just wear Garrett out over the course of a game. Grant Delpit, J-OK, and Za'Darius Smith are all good players, and they need to be to not make the Browns truly a hoples team, since Joe Flacco is not walking through that door.

Over or Under

No Joe Flacco No Over. Under

Player Prop

Myles Garret DPOY is at +700. That's realistically the only award someone on the Browns is winning this season.

2024 Preview

The AFC North is a two horse race. The Ravens and Bengals are going to be in a dogfight for the division and the Ravens are dealing with roster and coaching staff churn, but John Harbaugh has been as steady as they come regarding churn. The offense is mostly intact and they added a future hall of famer in Derrick henry. The receivers should be fine as Zay Flowers and Isiah Likely keep getting better. Mark Andrews is incredibly good at TE and the offensive line is getting Ronnie Stanley back. AS long as Lamar Jackson is healthy, the Ravens will have a good offense. No doubt about that.

The defense will likely take a step back as Mike MacDonald is coaching the Seahawks now. The easy thing is Kyle Hamilton, Roquan Smith, and Just Madubike are still there and having All-Pros at every level makes a defenses life easy. It allows for teams to deal with roster churn exceptionally well. The Ravens are just a quality team top to bottom and lack any real weakness on the defense.

OVER OR UNDER

Over. Barring Injury the drop off won't be more than 2 games.

Player Prop

With voter fatigue being a thing, there's a shot Lamar is overlooked, in that case Kyle Hamilton DPOY is at 25000 and if he has a truly special year it's possible.
